To put this in context I have also made a basic plan of the basement.
Lightproofing the Basement
The next step was to lightproof the basement, this meant covering/taping up the window of the smaller room to ensure it was light tight and fitting a red lightbulb for the main room. The smaller room can now be used to load films in total darkness and will also be used to store the developing trays as it has the only long, flat and clean surface.
